History:
|
Montgomery Township Montgomery Township,
founded in 1702 by Dutch settler has many historic sites
which run along the Millstone river. Blawenburg
Reformed Church, and several stone bridges on the
National and State Registers. Legend has it that
at Washing Well Farm the famous general's troops drank
the well dry. Although still very rural in
character, the Township is home many large corporations.
